Fill Up With Food

Making sure you have enough food and drink for your journey should always be your main focus, as running out of things to eat when you're out in the sticks could lead to fatigue and even an inability to drive safely. Always bring spare food and drink in preparation for the wrist case scenario, as you never know what might happen whilst you're out on the road! Pack a plastic container full of dried snacks like bread, biscuits, crisps, nuts, instant noodles and other similar non-perishable foods that will last for a while. Next source several bottles of water, along with a couple of other drinks that contain sugar for an energy boost whenever you might need it! Bringing a cool bag that contains items such as sandwich fillings (deli meat, cheese, etc), milk and other essentials is also a good idea, but ensure that you do not overfill your cool bag as this will increase its temperature and spoil everything inside. If you plan on doing any rigorous activities such as hiking during your road trip, don't forget to pack a few energy dense foods such as mint cake or high calorie cereal bars that you can consume on the go.

Cleaning & Personal Hygiene

Hopping out of the car to get into a shower or even wash your hands isn't always an option when you're headed out on a road trip, so personal hygiene can become a bit of a chore while you're travelling around. Luckily, there are many different options that you can explore to make sure you can stay clean and fresh throughout your vacation, starting off by creating a kind of wash bag that includes baby wipes, dry shampoo, deodorant and hand sanitizer. Investing in a few sanitizing cup holder wipes that you can store inside your car to be used at any time is also a good idea, as you can clean up any mess immediately rather than letting the grime linger. Keep a carrier bag handy that you can use for all of your excess trash, as you'll likely end up with food wrappers and all manner of other items floating around your vehicle otherwise.

Packing for the perfect road trip has never been so simple when you can take the time to utilise the brilliant tips described above!
