Happy Friday friends! I hope that you have had the most wonderful week! Similar to last week, it has been a busy busy week over here for me at work, continuing to move to the cabin, and continuing to prepare for our first craft fair at the end of this month!! SO many things behind the scenes and I am looking forward to the weekend!

Here are some of my favorite things from this past week! First of all....

THANK YOU so so much for all of the sweet emails, DMs, text messages, and kind thoughts regarding the instagram reel that I posted yesterday and the entire collection that was based on one of my favorite pictures...

As I shared yesterday,

"Every single piece created in the #decembercaravan shop is inspired by real life and this Father's Day collection was incredibly tender and precious to make...it is impossible to believe that last month marked four years of missing one of my heroes, best friends, and cheerleaders...no offense to everyone (smiles) but my daddy was the absolute best. I miss his wisdom, his hugs, his laughter, and his presence a little more each and everyday and thank God every single day for the legacy that He left of loving God more than anything...He was one of the biggest cheerleaders of my creative life and this entire collection in the shop was inspired by the picture at the end of the reel. It is one of my favorite pictures deep in the throes of being extremely ill, unable to walk without his help, and him walking with me speaking words of life, hope, and promises of God for the future no matter what the doctors report had just told us.... (find the rest of the story HERE!)

If you missed the reel you can find it HERE and if we aren't connected on Instagram please reach out- I would love to connect with you (find me HERE!)

3. Early Morning Walks
One of my favorite things about being at the cabin is my early morning walks. I love the views, the nature of the woods and farmlands and of course the lake. Anyone else love their morning workouts more during the summer?!?

I shared this last week and then got a ton of questions about it throughout this week so I am sharing this again! I often get asked what is my favorite shampoo and conditioner and y'all this remains my favorite of all time! Ironically I was introduced to this brand and shampoo and conditioner after a disastrous hair cut back in 2021, but the shampoo and conditioner that they used at this new salon I was trying was AMAZING. I love the way it helps my hair look amazing (like I have just had a blowout!) and is healthy for my hair! It is a bit pricey, but it lasts for SO long (and y'all know I have THICK hair and lots of it!) and you can find it on Amazon HERE!

5. Finding Beauty in the Little Moments
Like everyone, we are having some big things that are going on right now and new ways that our faith is being stretched as we trust God to provide in some miraculous ways to some answers to prayer. In this season I am finding that beauty in the little moments is truly the biggest blessing and one that is truly beyond anything that I could share can encourage your heart.

For example we have been having a much cooler summer than is typical and there has been a lot of rain. The other day after work I was waiting for my mom to finish an appointment and just sitting in the car outside and looked down and these raindrops were just resting on the grass. The beauty of the moment was truly lovely and just a tender reminder to me that the God who sends the rain is going to provide and answer what we are praying for.

If there is anything that I could specifically pray for you, please feel free to send an email. I would be honored to pray for you!

With Caravan Sonnet turning ten years old I thought it would be fun on Fridays to share some older posts from the blog! One of the things that Caravan Sonnet developed into was a a resource for those looking for road trip itineraries around the United States and World.

One of the most popular posts is one that I wrote back in 2020 was a difficult one that I hadn't seen shared before and that was how to handle, survive, and thrive on a long road trip (or any trip) with difficult people. It was an incredibly vulnerable post and if you are looking at a similar trip you can find the post HERE!

I hope that you have a wonderful Friday friends! Thank you for making this such an incredible space to come to and connect with every single day. I am so blessed!!
