Happy Saturday friends! Today I am so excited to share with you a baby boy junk journal that I made several weeks ago for a friend who has a baby new grandson! She was wanting to give a special journal to her daughter for this sweet occasion and I was honored and humbled when she asked if I would create something!
If you have been around the blog for even a little bit then you know that ever since I was a young girl, I have always had an obsession with journaling and making things that I own pretty. I love to fill not only my journals, but my favorite books with colorful, unique, whimsical, and pretty ribbons, sweet paraphernalia, and writing that speaks to my heart and that encourages me. I love recording special occasions (I am a huge date person as far as dates being very important to me!). I am smiling as I type this because even right now as I am studying for more teacher certification tests I am making all of my study notes pretty. I will have to show y'all soon!! *smiles*
When creating a baby journal was mentioned I immediately started dreaming of all different ideas. I love recording and creating a keepsake that will last forever for me and wanted to provide the same for my friends daughter without her feeling like she had to write pages and pages of notes during this first year of mommy hood.
So I decided to create a year junk journal that would include highlights of each month, note important dates (like first photos, first words, etc.) and create places where easy pictures could be added along with simple notes to create a keepsake that she would treasure forever.
Baby Z's nursery theme was "under the sea" (isn't that delightful??) so I kept with that theme and chose all different blue and green tones with hints of corals. I love the color combination!
This was such a fun and wonderful junk journal to make (Baby Junk Journals just make my heart smile!) and I am so thankful for the opportunity to create this!
