purple and yellow scrapbook layout

May 10, 2013

If you follow me you over on December Caravan you might have seen my post from Wednesday. For right now because of some additional health issues I have decided to "combine" my blogs and post everything on Caravan Sonnet. For those of you that have been following the December Caravan I so appreciate your sweet love and support right now.  The Etsy Shop will re-open on June 1st and I am so excited to share with you the new creations that I have been working on!

Today I wanted to share with you a couple of pictures from a recent scrapbook project that I was working on for a friend! All of my custom scrapbooks and their pages offer a unique perspective in every layout. In this particular layout I thought it would be beautiful to capture the fun and whimsical of the pictures but to also bring a sense of "vintage pretty" to the layout.
To match some of the "fun"of the pages I added hand-stitching and some glittery sparkles to different parts of the page. To accomplish the "vintage pretty" aspect of the layout I used approximately 100 various sizes of the paper purple flowers to cover the upper right side of the left side of the layout and the bottom right side of the other layout.
The other way that I wanted to add some fun to these pages is by adding the color yellow. I loved the idea of combining yellow and purple and added the yellow lattice paper to each side of the layout. The sticker on this page: "once upon a time" had the perfect way of combining the yellow and purple on each side of the layout.
The wonderful thing with scrapbooking is how you can play with all different types of layouts and colors! What are your favorite colors to combine?

If you are interested in a custom scrapbook order please feel free to email me or check out the Etsy Shop starting June 1st!
