an easy and healthy basil, spinach, kale and garlic pesto recipe

Happy Friday friends! I wanted to share with y'all a simple and easy pesto recipe that is easy to make and is extremely healthy, especially if you are like me and you are always looking to get more greens into your body. 

1/4 cup organic pine nuts
1/16 cup organic walnuts
1 and 1/2 cups organic basil
1/2 cup organic spinach
1/4 cup of kale
2 tablespoons organic olive oil
1-2 tablespoons of lemon juice
1 tablespoon water
1-2 cloves of garlic (depending on taste preference)
1/4 tsp salt (you can add more if you like more salt)
1/4 tsp pepper

Blend together in a food processor and chill in refrigerator for at least 30 minutes before serving. We have found that letting it sit overnight is the best. We use the Hamilton Beach 12-cup stack and snap food processor that we purchased on Amazon. You can find it HERE. It is wonderful. It is easy to use and easy to clean!

I use this as a dip with veggies, on sandwiches as a substitute for mayo, as a garnish for fish, etc. It takes about 5 minutes to make and is the easiest recipe.

I have also substituted in different greens besides spinach including kale and dandelion greens. The recipe is so easy and can be modified for your health needs.
