Happy Wednesday friends! I am excited to link up with MelShaeffer, and Shay for the "What's Up Wednesday" Link up! I have have fun reading these ladies posts and am excited to join in! In the years past I usually join in every month, but this is only my second (after May's post) "What's Up Wednesday" post of this year (where has this year gone?!??) so it is fun to be back joining in again!

What We're Eating this Week...
Goat Cheese. And more goat cheese.

Seriously y'all. I can't get enough. Ever since our trip on the Viking River Cruise (where I had THE most delicious goat cheese ever!) we have been eating this non-stop. My favorite brand is the one above, Vermont Creamery, but there are so many options of good kinds. I find myself using it for so many different things, but one of my favorite ways is to add it to yummy salads. Anyone have any recipes that uses goat cheese? I would love to know! Please share!

Oh. And two weeks ago I discovered goat cheese popcorn. SO delicious.

What I'm Reminiscing About...
The Alaska Road trip I took this summer. I am still working on finishing up posts- there are still about 15 left to do... it was so beautiful there is just so much to share! I definitely fell deeply in love with Alaska and am already planning a return trip. It completely captured a part of my heart.

If you are interested in reading all of the posts from the trip (so far) you can click on the links below:

I have also been thinking a lot about the road trip that we took last year through Maine, New Brunswick, Prince Edward Island, and Nova Scotia. It was a wonderful trip and if you are interested in creating a similar itinerary to what we did (which included all things "Anne" on the island) you can read about it here:

If you are interested in reading more about that trip (or other trips) you can find more on the travel page HERE!

What I'm Loving...
This first week of fall.

What I've Been Up To...
I have been working on editing tons of pictures from the trip, bloggy work, writing commitments, time with family and friends, and treasuring these last moments at the cabin before we leave.

What I'm Dreading...
Packing up the cabin... I don't know if "dreading" is the right word... but I am sad to leave as always.

What I'm Working on...
Lots and lots of shop goodies! I have been busy working on orders and putting sweet and fun fall and autumn items in! You can find the shop HERE

What I'm Excited About...
Honestly... fall... life... the beautiful days in front of us... this new season is such an incredible blessing.

What I'm Watching/Reading...
Last week I shared my 2018 summer reading list (you can find it HERE)! I read some books I loved this summer and some that were tough... Here is one that definitely stood out to me:

I am wincing and biting my bottom lip a bit as I mention this book. It is amazing... inspiring... horrific... and incredible all in one. It is based on the incredible true story of Pino Lella who is a Italian teenager at the start of World War II and becomes a hero in helping Jews escape over the Alps. I don't even know where to start in describing this book, but as the author mentions the story came to him in one of the darkest times in his life and it had a profound impact on his personal life... I walked away feeling the exact same way. As a disclaimer... parts of this book are incredibly difficult in showing the horrific capacity that we as human can do to each other. But in that horror... courage finds a way to come out. Truly amazing. You can find the book HERE.
Also- I can't believe that we are almost at the end of September and it is almost time for a new book of the month for Twenty History Lane (TWL)! I am not going to share to many details of the next two books since we are in the middle of reading them for September's Book of the Month Club and there is still time to join in for this month or for October! You can find out more HERE!

You can purchase Rilla of Ingleside or The Guns of August, where books are sold and on Amazon by clicking HERE(for Rilla of Ingleside) or HERE (for The Guns of August).

Any suggestions for the fall that you would recommend?

What I'm Listening To...
Lots and lots of different music... there was a point in this journey in the fight for my life and health where I couldn't listen to music because the sound was so bothersome. As a gal who loves music that was definitely incredibly hard... but I feel like in the past couple of years I have made up for it... and then I will discover another "new" song... that everyone knows... but is still new to me. *smiles*

Recently I have been listening to rodrigo y gabriela alot. You can listen to one of their videos HERE

What I'm Wearing...
I broke out the fall clothes (and boots) this week! Fall clothes are so fun!

What I'm Looking Forward to Next Month...
The beautiful thanksgiving season, living each day, and welcoming a new season.

I would love to know your answers to these questions friends! Share your thoughts below in the comments!!

 Happy Wednesday!
