Is it June Yet?

I am so excited about June and not just because it summertime! I am sooo excited to be apart of a special wedding in June of a dear friend and a dear family. Anyone who knows me knows that one of my most favorite communities that I had the honor to be apart of was my time of teaching in DC. One of those PRECIOUS friendships and relationships came through coaching cheerleading and getting to know incredible ladies, including one of my first captains ~ Kristen. We had an immediate connection and despite lots of hard work, my first year returning to teaching (including new classes!), and her senior year we developed a lovely friendship that has only grown over the years.

Her family was such a blessing to me enveloping me through prayers and support during a difficult time, being a wonderful encouragement, and even letting me use their new car for three weeks when my car died. I was so delighted to get the news in October that Kristen and Paul were engaged!  The other day I came across some old pictures of Kristen and I and was delighted to walk down memory lane!
