Happy Friday friends!! I hope that you have had a lovely and wonderful week! I am so grateful to spend time with each of you in this sweet space every single day.
Haha, y'all I am giggling a bit... if you know me in "real life" then you know that something happened this week that was a first for me in being an influencer/blogger over the last 12+ years...As background, I posted this reel on instagram (click HERE to watch):
And received tons and tons of hatemail DMs. Y'all. It was crazy. Over 12+ years and a simple post about November 1st and autumn still having stories to tell and I was getting messages of people even saying things that I hated baby Jesus if I didn't want to decorate on December 1st. What in the world?!? Hahaha I am still giggling about it. What made this even more crazy was the fact that it was ALL in DMs (no comments on the reel post itself) and second that this was my first real hate comments in all of these years. I am still giggling.
If you want to watch the 20 seconds of how I offended some of the internet you can watch it HERE. For the record... I am all for people decorating in their homes however they want to. HAHA.
There is no good segway to the next part of this post...hahaha! So here are some of my favorite things from this past week:
Travel in France (Viking Rhone River Cruise)...
While you can find all the amazing IG reels and posts HERE about our Rhone River Cruise on Viking, I have started sharing more in detail on the blog and am so excited for you to read more behind the scenes details than a simple social media post could provide! So if you love the history, culture, and beauty of these adventures then these are the posts for you!
This week I shared the following adorable city on our trip... Arles... it was one of my absolute favorites to visit:
A Day in Arles / Arles, France (Blog Post)
The Arles Ampitheater/ Arles, France (Blog Post)
Travel in France (Rouen and Paris, August 2025)...
I also have been sharing more about my trip to Rouen and Paris (when I spoke at an International Conference in August) this week - and I created a reel (that received NO hate haha)- that showed my tiniest travel junk journal I have ever created along with video clips...
You can watch it here:
Can I also just take a moment to say "thank you"? Y'all every single like, comment, share, and save is so important to my job which I adore doing- and even a like is very important. You may not realize it- because there is so much media that we consume- but as a micro influencer - a watch and a like on a reel can truly be life-changing in the fact of whether or not I receive a future trip collaboration, paid job, or income from social media. It may sound crazy but if you know anyone (including myself) that does social media for a living- even a like is truly life-changing.
Thank you.
Personal Thoughts...
