Happy Friday friends! I hope that you have had the most wonderful week! It has been a busy busy week over here for me catching up after being away for nearly two weeks and I am looking forward to the weekend! Here are some of my favorite things from this past week! First of all....

1. Meeting Robin Jones Gunn!!

Y'all probably saw me share about this on Instagram and on the blog this week, but y'all. THIS. Highlight of my trip to California. You can read the whole story HERE, but seriously this was such an amazing experience!!

2. New Junk Journals Available in the Shop!

I am so excited y'all to say that there are just a few of the mother's day #keychainjunkjournals left in the shop!!

I love all the different designs, but these colors just make me smile. I love these soft purples, pinks, and golds. It is so classic.

3. Guest Speaker on Healing LymeWithLauren Podcast

As May is Lyme Disease Awareness Month, I just wanted to take a moment and share again how honored I was when Lauren asked me to come on her podcast and share part of my health journey and story with her community a couple of months ago! Every year I share how speechless I am at how this little book, my first book baby, has traveled around the world and now been translated into TEN different languages! This May, I am no less grateful or speechless... I continue to marvel at all the ways that God has used this book and all the ways that He continues to use it. 5. The Lyme Boutique

I was so excited to announce on the blog a couple of months ago that The Lyme Boutique is officially open!!

This is a new Etsy shop that I have been dreaming about and planning for a couple of years that is now live: The Lyme Boutique! The Lyme Boutique is a shop with products specifically for Lyme Disease patients and those who love them! Cozy, practical, and encouraging, each of these items are curated to inspire joy and hope in every part of your life as you courageously fight Lyme Disease or walk alongside a loved one who is battling Lyme.

As I have healed from the Lyme Disease journey I prayed about how to best encourage those still in the battle. I have found that sharing my story, advocating for better medical treatment and testing and living a life honoring all of those who helped me heal is one of the greatest gifts. At the same time my heart resonates with those deeply discouraged in the battle which is where the Lyme Boutique dream started.

There are currently no other shops that are dedicated solely to help those with Lyme Disease or the caregivers who love them. I am so excited to open this new shop!

I hope that you will stop by the shop, which is truly an extension of my heart. Every single purchase is truly a gift and a blessing and I am so grateful for your sweet support of this shop. I have written this in my books and on this blog, but I was correctly and accurately diagnosed with Lyme Disease after seeing over 273 different doctors. The battle for my life and health (after several well known medical facilities and hospitals told me I had only months to live) was some of the most painful and difficult years I have ever walked through. Like many Lyme patients it was one of the most isolating experiences and my desire to encourage other Lyme patients started with my first book, "Praying through Lyme Disease" published in 2014. Since then that little book has been translated into ten different languages and other encouraging Lyme books followed.

This shop will also be helping other Lyme patients! Each purchase gives a percentage to helping other Lyme patients financially in the future with providing scholarships to help cover the cost of the treatment for this disease.

6. Iron Infusion Treatment Day

It was a difficult day, and I am still recovering from this and it's been a bit rough, but overall I am just incredibly grateful for all of the prayer requests that were answered on Wednesday. You can read all about this HERE!

7. FLASHBACK FRIDAY

With Caravan Sonnet turning ten years old I thought it would be fun on Fridays to share some older posts from the blog! One of the things that Caravan Sonnet developed into was a travel blog from its earliest days. First, writing about traveling with a chronic illness and then developing into cozy luxury travel it has been beautiful to think and plan for the upcoming adventures of this year and to look back on all of the adventures in the past. It was amazing to be back in the same area in California that I was at TEN years ago... nearly to the date. Seeing how far my health has come... it was honestly overwhelming in many ways. I am still processing, but there were lots of tears, lots of gratitude moments, and lots of just sitting still reflecting on the past ten years. Don't let anyone tell you that things are impossible. I am living proof that this is simply not true. I shared a little bit about this on the screenshot above on Instagram. You can read that post I reference HERE.

iron infusion day

I just wanted to say a quick note of thanks for all who were praying for my iron infusion yesterday. As some of you know I have been struggling with severe iron deficiency symptoms and yet due to the shortage of the type of iron that my body specifically needs, this infusion was on delay until yesterday. I was grateful for all of the prayers for accessing "Courtney" after a difficult access a couple of weeks ago that left me uneasy and for the treatment itself.

I have walked the halls of this hospital specifically for more than 7 years and yet, as some of you are aware... this is now a triggering situation for me. These hospital hallways and rooms have held some of the most wonderful moments of fantastic news regarding my health and some loved ones and then some devastating news in the lowest times. I am so grateful for all of your prayers, the encouragement of those who have walked this path before, and the listening and supportive ears of so many.

Arriving up infusion was difficult as I was very apprehensive and I could feel your prayers which I am grateful for. I am also grateful for being able to see a dear friend and laughter and a wonderful set of nurses who truly change everything. Their calmness, laughter, and help just makes for a supportive experience that is impossible to explain. It is priceless.

Thankfully there were no issues with Courtney and it was a one stick day and the infusion went well!

I am so grateful to have received this iron infusion and grateful for the help that I know it will give my body. As I spoke with my doctor more about the length of time between these treatments (it has been over a year and my ferritin was at a very low spot) and advocated for a different timeframe I was grateful that my concerns were heard and that this was taken seriously. We have a good plan moving forward and I am extremely grateful for this.

Overall the infusion went well... I was able to work on my computer while I was there (Eating ice of course *smiles*- thank you Sue!) and was able to finish the infusion in a shorter amount of time then originally planned. For those who are not familiar, some iron infusions are quick and others, like the one I need to have, take lots and lots of hours (depending on a number of factors).

After getting home yesterday I slept for a while and was able to eat a tiny bit of food and this morning and am feeling okay all things considered.
