Emily's Visit ~ Summer 2013

August 4, 2013

It was such a wonderful few days when Emily came to visit last week. We had been anticipating the time so much that it seemed to go by in a blink of an eye. I still need to share pictures of our lovely day on the lake with friends but in the meantime I had to share some from her days here at camp. I love you hoopster!

One day Emily and I spent the day sitting and relaxing, catching up on life, and laughing as we moved our chairs to the various sun spots (even the driveway at one point!) I wasn't feeling well enough to go down to the beach that day but our talks in the woods were precious (and funny... umm... "under the table" hahaha).
One of the nights that Emily was here we had a lovely couple of hours enjoying the beautiful evening and grabbing pictures of a gorgeous sunset.
One of the most special things was when Emily shared with me while she was here is that she is training for a 1/2 marathon to raise money to help cover costs of treatments that I am having. I was overwhelmed with gratitude not just with my precious sister, but of God who is so good to give me such an amazing family who loves me so much and has sacrificed so much of their time and energy this year and has showered me with unconditional love.
Playing cards in the evening is a favorite past time at camp. One evening we enjoyed lots of laughter with friends and family that came down to play.
I can't wait to share with y'all pictures from our fun day on the lake while Emily was here! I hope to have those pictures up sometime this week!
