While we were out west, mom and I had the opportunity to spend time at Mount Saint Helens and I was struck by the beauty of a place that had once been left in total destruction. Our tour guide explained that 46 years ago people were told that nothing would ever grow or bloom there again and yet starting with a small flower the area did bloom and grow once again.
Of all the trips I have taken over the course of my life, this time at Mount Saint Helens reminded me that even out of total destruction there can be hope and beauty found for even the places that we are told are dead to hope.
I hope that this story and reel encourages you that even out of total destruction there is hope.
