Happy Tuesday y'all! I hope that you are having a wonderful start to the week! I am so excited to share in today's travel post about an upcoming summer adventure and collaboration with inspiration cruises and tours for this July! 

My mom and I will be heading with inspiration cruises and tours for their turning point ministries alaska cruise July 15-22nd! If you are looking for an adventure this summer and wanting to head to Alaska I hope that you will consider joining us! 

I am excited to hear the speakers on this trip (you can read more about who the speakers and artists are HERE) and see this amazing area of Alaska! The itinerary looks absolutely stunning (see HERE) and having never done a cruise in Alaska I am excited to experience it from the "water side"!

If you have been around the blog for several years then you may have seen the two different road trips that I did in Alaska in the Summer of 2018 and the Summer of 2019! During those trips I explored Anchorage, Eklutna Lake, the Kenai Peninsula, Denali State Park, Kennicott, Hatcher Pass, Whittier, Homer, Seward (and our whale watching adventure at the beautiful Holgate Glacier), Talkeetna, Thompson Pass (and my favorite experience among the Alaskan Fireweed), and the Wrangel-St. Elias Park Area. Driving through Alaska was simply breathtaking in so many different ways (I am sure y'all remember my obsession with the beauty of the Scenic Seward Highway, the Denali Highway and the wild and free ruggedness of the McCarthy Highway *smiles*). When this opportunity was presented, I was so excited to share about a completely different area and part of Alaska and in a different way of experiencing it then before! SO many of you have asked me my thoughts on an Alaskan Cruise versus a road trip and so I am excited to share the entire adventure and be able to share about the cruise side with you! I know how much y'all have shared you enjoyed the Alaska adventures and I am so excited to be heading back with my mom for this special trip!

DAY AT SEA

July 16

Adventure awaits you in Alaska’s capital. Start your day reading your Bible on the balcony. Then stroll, fish, whale-watch or spend time counting totem poles as you experience this coastal gem with the rest of your group.

GLACIER BAY (SCENIC CRUISING)

July 18, 7:00 A.M.– 4:00 P.M.

Enjoy a piping hot breakfast as you prepare for the vast landscape of Glacier Bay. This scenic wonder will make you proclaim, “My God, How Great Thou Art!” Snap some keepsake photos before sharing exclusive time with your favorite Christian leaders.

ICY STRAIT POINT, ALASKA

July 18, 6:00 P.M.–10:00 P.M.

Explore a beautifully restored 1912 salmon cannery and museum. Step back in time as you tour the old wooden buildings, bright red against a backdrop of towering rainforest. Stroll along the beach as eagles soar overhead and whales are regularly seen from the shore. Then return to the ship to conclude the day with grateful praise for all God is stirring in your heart.

SITKA, ALASKA

July 19, 8:00 A.M.– 5:00 P.M.

Sitka blends Native Alaska with a fascinating Russian heritage. Explore sites like the onion-top St. Michael’s Russian Orthodox Cathedral with new friends. Cap off your evening with heartfelt worship and a timely message.

KETCHIKAN, ALASKA

July 20, 7:00 A.M.–1:00 P.M.

Explore historic Creek Street—built right over the water—enjoying another day with friends you’ve made during the wonderful worship and speaking times. Take in the many historic totem poles unique to this region.

VICTORIA, B.C., CANADA

July 21, 6:00 P.M.–11:30 P.M.

Spend another day in God’s presence, praising Him for how He’s revealed Himself on your cruise through the natural world and daily worship. And take advantage of ship amenities you haven’t gotten to yet. Then, venture into the “City of Gardens” to enjoy European ambiance in North America.

As you can see from the above schedule (*pictures and descriptions of the itinerary above our the sole property of Inspiration Cruises and Tours website website), we will start and end our cruise in Seattle! It is so exciting to be at the planning stages for this trip and it is so exciting to see how all of the details are coming together. But y'all, I would welcome some thoughts and ideas! I always get the BEST ideas from this community and I would love to have any recommendations and suggestions for the trip! If you have any tips of things to see when we are off the ship, places to eat (extra points for places that have gluten free menus) off the ship, excursions and tours to take, etc, please share! Our time will be brief in each place (obviously) but any tips and suggestions would be welcome y'all!

 As I mentioned we will also start and end our trip in Seattle and we will be spending a couple of days prior to the trip in Seattle which I honestly haven't been to in nearly twenty years! I realized the last time I was out there was in 2004! I would love any recommendations for this area too!
